Sino-France BioImaging Symposium 2026 (SFBS26)
SFBS26 (4th Sino-French BioImaging Symposium) is an international event dedicated to advanced bioimaging and super-resolution microscopy that will take place in Bordeaux, France, in October 2026. Organized within the framework of the Sino-French International Research Network (IRN) in BioImaging, the event combines an advanced thematic school and an international scientific symposium.
SFBS26 will gather leading scientists from China, France, and across Europe working on cutting-edge developments in optical imaging, super-resolution microscopy, image analysis, and quantitative bioimaging. The symposium will cover a broad range of approaches, including SMLM, STED, SIM, expansion microscopy, volumetric imaging, and computational imaging, together with their applications to major biological questions.
The event also aims to strengthen interactions between the French and Chinese bioimaging communities by creating opportunities for scientific exchange and future collaborations between complementary areas of expertise. Particular emphasis will be placed on training and knowledge sharing through the thematic school, where students and early-career researchers will benefit from lectures and hands-on workshops led jointly by French and Chinese experts, covering the full pipeline from sample preparation to advanced image analysis and quantification.
