PhD or postdoc position on the imaging of neuronal architecture in brain slices

The Lab for Nanobiology at the KU Leuven, headed by Peter Dedecker, is looking for a motivated PhD or postdoc that will develop an optical instrument for the visualization of neuronal organization and structure within brain slices with very high spatial resolution. As part of this project, you will be expected to construct and operate a novel microscope system, including both hardware and software, and to apply it to the visualization of brain slices. We will consider applicants from a broad range of backgrounds, but an interest in instrumentation and/or data analysis and a solid scientific background is required. Detailed information can be found on our website.
