Biologist for Application tasks- 6 months Internship or CDD

The BioAxial Company, part of Telight, is located in Paris and develops super-resolution microscopy modules based on the principle of conical diffraction. This technology allows the acquisition of images at a theoretical resolution of less than 100 nm. Based on conical diffraction, BioAxial recently developed the LiveCODIM module to transform every widefield fluorescence microscope into a multi-modality super-resolution microscope dedicated to fixed and living samples without modifying standard sample preparation.

In this general context, BioAxial is seeking for a 6-month internship or CDD starting on April/May 2021 to help the team driving beta testing program at Imagoseine and Institut Pasteur and drives demonstration and user training.

1- The Biologist will have an understanding of the background of modern microscopy, comprehension of the specific challenges of superresolution, be excited about participating in cutting-edge R&D
2-The Biologist will develop already existing collaboration with Pasteur Institute and Imagoseine Imaging facility
3- The Biologist will work closely to the development team by reporting every information, feedback or needs obtained from users and collaborators to constantly improve the product.
4- The Biologist will use the LiveCodim module to generates images and data of fixed and live samples for commercial purpose .

Profile :
– Master (ongoing or obtained) in biology or biophysics
– Experiences in photonic microscopy
– Experiences in sample preparation for fluorescence microscopy
–  Interest for interdisciplinary environments
– Interest in creating collaboration and working close to research teams
–  Skills in image visualization using ImageJ/Fiji would be a plus
